Sorry if this posted multiple times- had some issues with photo sizing.

I'd like to thank Lonny for helping me find this machine. It's always nice when members help each other!

We picked up the machine yesterday and were curious about what might be behind the "curtain" so we removed the door liner and insulation.

We found bondo on the inside of the door and two lengths of masking tape that masked/marked the top and bottom of what??? Check out the
photos and see what you think...

I got the sand paper out...

Well it has the embossed VMC at the bottom very possible it was a embossed machine at some point...

Glad you grabbed it Brenda! man i Hope this wasn't embossed, has anyone ever heard of an embossed machine being turned into a generic? If so why make a pepsi out of it? Weird

I have heard of Vendo 81 / D's coverted to generics the most common with a large coin door with a bezel swap they your just missing the embossed square for the VMC logo/ sticker

The VMC logo at the bottom of the door is original (no welding or mudding) so I believe it is a genuine VMC door...

If it's a generic what would be the cause for sanding inside?  That area is rarely exposed...unless the right person is doing something...
