Looking good there Pat. Can't wait to see the Victor done. Are you putting a bar top on it? The 35 turned out great also.

Looking good Pat!
The Victor is mine..... and yes, there will be a counter top on the bottom and the very top.  I built a metal base for it and had it powder coated black, just to raise it a bit higher for that "bar" feel.
My intention is to have the tops stainless... but now after my wife has seen the pics, and really likes it a lot..... she wants a wood top counter.  So now I'm split as to what to do.  If it is stainless, well that's pretty straight forward.... with wood, she wants that "Hooters" table look (which I think is pine with a HEAVY laquer coating on it (and yes, she actually said Hooters as we go there from time to time..... what can I say? they have good uhhhhh WINGS! lol

My cousin is a cabinet maker, and I know of a stainless guy, so either way it should get done fairly quick.
What do you guys think would be better?

       Great lineup there Pat!

Ed, I would use wood for 2 reasons:
1: It is the closest to original.
2: IT WAS THE WIFES CHOICE, an opportunity to score points.  happydrinkers

Ed,

The Hooters countertop finish is a lot easier, quicker and cheaper than  you may think

http://eti-usa.com/envirotex-lite/

It's s two part epoxy  you can order through Amazon, or  it's carried by Micheal's Hobby Lobby, and prolly other hobby shops. Easy peasy, .

The web site has a calulator to  figure out how much you need,

Both coolers look great, Pat!

Ed--Happy wife, happy life!  If your wife wants the wood, I say give it to her!  laugh Cool biggrin

Either way, I am sure it will turn out great.  Looking forward to seeing the finished product whichever you choose.  But remember choose wisely!
