Vmc27a dual drain

Hey guys finally dusted this thing off and am ready to get back to work. Any idea where to get a replacement? It is 5/8 inch wide and about 5 inches long and looks to be made of steel not copper. I was going to try to make one or use a plastic fitting of some sort if available. Thanks for your help!

Seems like it would be pretty simple to flare a piece of 5/8 in copper or pvc and thread the other end.

I assume that hangs thru the insulation and has a nut to lock it from underneath. you could take a piece of 5/8 copper flare the top and solder a 1/2 male adapter on other end and use a 1/2 lock nut to hold it.

I'm not really good at solder nor have I ever flared or threaded before. Sounds easy enough to flare and thread, is there a tool for the threading?

yes , find out who has a friend that's a plumber , take him the piece he should be able to recreate it in 20 minutes. If you can't find someone to do it lay a ruler beside it and take a picture so I have accurate measurements and I will make you one and send it to you.

Why not just wire wheel the one you have to get rid of the rust and throw a coat of clear on it? I can't tell much from the photo how bad the rust is, but I presume the drain tube is hidden through the liner when installed, so you won't see it anyways (minus the top)?

You could probably just buy a pre-made drain tube from a supplier that is already cut and rolled. Take it to Home Depot and the probably could thread it for free...

The funtronics one is too narrow unfortunately. I was going to clean this one but the threads are too badly rusted and deteriorated on the bottom to use.
I'm gonna see what I come up with with a plumber. Thank you very much for the offer cohammer! I might take you up on that and I will be glad to pay whatever you think is fair. This is my largest headache left on this machine.

A lot of plumbing supply stores have their own pipe tools. Take your sample to them, they can probably make one up for you.
