Mine is obvious. Owner of Fun-Tronics. Steve Ebner named the business this back in 1976 because he started out dealing in pinball machines. That is how he came up with Fun-Tronics. Now I carry on the name.

Mine is an intended misspelling of the SNL sketches about Bill Brasky. I tried using brasky on other forums many years ago but it was always taken so I started using brasskey. So, nothing to do with brass or keys.

I have had Flippa (the Boston pronunciation of Flipper) as a nickname since 1979, long before it was used to describe someone who buys & sells stuff.
I have always been an avid swimmer and diver, and as a kid I would always swim underwater. We used to go swimming in a local reservoir and would jump & dive off this big rock ledge into deep water. I would torture my friends by jumping in after everyone else, staying underwater until I saw them start swimming back to the rock then grabbing one of their legs and pulling them under. My nickname was Jaws for a while because of this game.
One hot summer day we were at the rock and a group of teenagers we didn't know were betting each-other who could swim the furthest underwater. One of my buddies started bragging that I could beat them all. These guys were quite a bit older than us, so after looking me over, they all laughed and said I could get in on the wager if we had the money. Six of us were able to scrape together $10 so I could compete. Three of the older guys went first, then I dove. I swam twice as far as anyone else. One other guy went after me, but I had beaten his distance as well.
One of their friends back on the rock started laughing at and taunting all his friends, saying that they all got beat by a little kid. This guy kept calling me Flipper the Dolphin and making fun of the other guys. The last guy that dove told me that he actually thought i had drowned because I was down so long. I grabbed the $50 and we all got dressed and took off; we weren't sure if the teenagers were going to let us leave with the money. We were 11 at the time, so we went to the store on the way home and bought a ton of sodas and candy bars and ate until we were sick. The nickname stuck, my buddies still call me Flippa.

Flippa, That is a good story. Not at all what I thought it stood for. Figured you were buying and selling on my home turf.
