Those Who Stay Will be Champions!

« on: December 29, 2013, 08:47:40 am »

Un-freaking-believable!  Yet another costly burden to small business due to the bill that we had to pass first and read later--you guessed it, Obamacare!  This is going to put a hardship on the vending industry and won't do one darn thing to improve health.  People buy at vending machines for convenience, not for the plethora of healthy snack and drink options.  People worried about this kind of nonsense do not buy at vending machines because they have a bottle of Evian and granola bars in their backpack.

As the article states, this requirement will also severely limit choices at candy/snack machines because vending companies will not want to be continually changing the info.  Another ridiculous regulation that will do absolutely nothing but place a hardship on companies that cannot afford it.  Are they going to require that braille be stamped into the side of the machine for the visually impaired like they require on drive-up automated teller machines!

Okay, I will get off my soapbox and go get a coke and candy bar from my now illegal machines!

I guess next we will have to register all our machines because the food you could put in them could have calories.  The good thing is you do not even have to think for your self anymore . They tell you what you can say and not say , you can't have a different view and you are told what to eat. It is a shame that all the rules and regulations cost everyone more money and what you get for it is -00-

I like how the rules apply to "20 or more" with vending machines OR restaurants... Like it is somehow financially equal?

Why not just make the retailers put it conspicuously on the FRONT of the candy bar?!?! That would take care of ALL notifications right through the window.

Most candy bars already have the calories on the front, in a green bubble. Soda does also.

So, WTF? Who thinks this !%@$ up?
