Chicago coin op show

Sitting with my buddy waiting for my connecting flight arriving just before noon. Does anyone know how far the airport is from the convention center?

Anyone taken taxi for that ride? Trying to plan the cost.

Any help is appreciated.

         It's quite a distance from either airport, I rented a car. Some nice highway there but take toll money!

From O'Hare to the show it is 27 miles (I map quested it)

Kinda wish I coulda went. I love coin operated stuff, vendors in particular. Even if I could afford the trip, I don't think I'd want to brave a jaunt through the Greater Chicago area.

I bet they have some neat stuff.

Hey Tim,
We are all still recovering from the 4:00 am start.  Way too many $200 RC 81's and $100 Stoner Theaters too count.

Just kidding of course, no unbelievable deals in my opinion. Some good prices but the variety of "stuff" is pretty awesome to see.

I got a nice old parking meter, but I can't resize the pic on my phone. You'll see a lot of chatter as folks start getting back home.

I have pictures........but not the ones you would like to see.  

I did not go to the show, but I did have the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with some members last night.  It's been becoming a tradition now to have members come over and go out for some pizza.  I try to find a place that isn't a chain that serves food Chicago style.  This is from Gulliver's which is a good distance from the show.  Anyway, I know the drive to get by me is long, but I hope you all enjoyed the food.  MainT's friend Justin, Jason, I'm horrible with names, flipped the bill which was very very nice of him.  Afterwards, we go to my house and drink beers, listen to some tunes, play some games, and eat some popcorn.  Thanks to all who came.  I really enjoy having people coming over who will play the machines.  See you next year.
