Looking for a Vendo 81 b or d

Hello,

A friend of mine is looking for a Vendo 81 B or D in the Chicagoland area.  Will anyone have one at the show?  What's the going rate for a non rust bucket original in descent shape?

No one here has an idea on prices?  I never owned an 81.  I don't know.  It seems like just about every member has one.....but no one remembers what they go for.   Interesting.

       I think he should be prepared to spend $2500 or more, if he would settle for an 81A.....less than $2000

Thank for the reply.  That's what he was planning on spending.  Now if he only can find a machine.

He might go to the show, but it's been dry lately.  I told him that there are no guarantees that one would show up, but you never know.  Sometimes there's one, other times there's ten or more.  I remember the old days when you would go to the show and they would be everywhere.

All 81's go for $2000-$2400 around me....unless really nice

Yes agreed last few show you couldn't touch an 81 fo under 2500 at the beginning of the morning and their were only a few around I saw

81d in ok condition 2400ish
81d in great original condition be prepared to pay closer to 3k (at least in my driving range).  Unless he can snag one that just gets posted on CL.

The 2 I had seen for sale at the show in rough condition where 2700 range... asking... they sat there when I left too.. so I'm sure he was just holding on and if got an offer, great , if not , held onto it?

needless to say,, didn't pick up an 81 at the show..
