I have a vendo 81b and was looking for a way to make the coin mech accept canadian dimes or replace the mech if needed. Any ideas?

You could swap the slug rejector out with a canadian one, or try to remove the magnet.
The canadain dimes get stuck on the magnet inside the slug rejector...

Thanks for the reply George. Is it hard to remove the magnet that you are referring to?

One screw holds the nickel magnet in place and two screws hold the dime magnet in place. You'll need to fabricate a plate to cover where the dime magnet was - just make it in the shape of the magnet; otherwise, the dime will fall out. Besides you will still need to use the dime scavenger spring still and it goes under one of the dime magnet screws. The nickel usually works OK without the magnet.
