Hi Group

My first post so be gentle with me. First of all let me say that I live in the UK. I have a vendo 39 that has an orignal drum fitted. Unfortunately the only bottles I can get to vend are Coca-Cola bottles that are  used as mixers in bars. Coca Cola won't sell them to me unless I buy them by the 100 crates. There is a deposit on the bottles too. So for the last few years the machine has been a very nice ornament. I saw a Vendo 39 a while ago that vended cans. The drum had been replaced. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a modified drum that the seller is prepared to ship to England.
Thanks for any assistance.

Hello & Welcome! Hmm Sounds like Coke has a bit of a control complex across the 'pond. Here in south-eastern Michigan at the local warehouse club (SAMS) the little 8oz. bottles go for $9.99/U.S. per case of 24 + deposit (10-cents/bottle),  but in regards to your V39/Drum question I believe that in the suppliers section of this site, that Funtronics co. has a modified drum that will vend 12oz cans, you might wish to contact them, I've seen them around.

Dave,
How wonderful to have one of our dear friends from "across the pond" in this forum.
England is one of my favorite places in this world. I attended University at Lancaster University in Lancashire back in the late 80's. Had the time of my life.
If I remember the good old days, I didn't know you brits drank anything other than bitters. '<img'>

Anyway, glad you are here and know that you are very lucky to have a Vendo 39.
JohnieG knows what he's talking about.
Please keep us updated.
And all the best to you.
Cheers big ears,

The can drum is part # 115b but it says that it is out of stock. I would call and ask as my catalog is rather out dated. Remember it might be expensive but you can offset the price by selling the origional on ebay. I have seen them go for some good money before.
