Wow, that is really cool...Crazy how perspective changes everything.

And you inadvertently solved another problem for me...I've spent the last few days trying to find a automotive air filter style metal mesh that I could make some lamps shades out of for my carburetor lamps.  In one of the photos he describes the chain-link fence he uses, made out of 'WireForm'. It's perfect, exactly what I need!

I wish I had thought of this. One time, I was sitting in the car at the local WalMart SuperCenter. I could look out across the street at the Home Depot. It was probably about 1/3 mile away in a straight line. I was bored, and checking out the Home Depot sign on the building. I aligned my thumb and index finger on either side of the Home Depot name, and supposed that the apparent span of the name from that distance was about 1-2 inches. I'm guessing the sign was over 200 feet long for real.

I never did anything interesting with this notion though.  down

That guy has a fantastic eye - what a great use of depth of field.

Normally I try to avoid that issue by using the right aperture opening (f-stop) but this guy is actually using it to get the exact affect he's after,  I'm so jealous!
