Just picked this one up, it's a S&S Quikold 3000 Barq's machine. I noticed this website needed a picture of a
3000-WD2 but this one doesn't say 3000-WD2 just 3000. Nice machine works great thought I'd share it with everyone. If anyone has any Barq's machines I'd love to see a picture of them.

Well it seems I can't list a picture, as much as I tried I can't seem to make it small enough in order to get76,800 bytes I'd only be able to show the logo and that's it. If anyone has any solutions on making this picture smaller in bytes but viewable please let me know.

Robert,

If you have difficulty reducing the size, send it to me and I'll post the photo here for you... ':<img:'>

Nice!! But what a beast! Must weigh a ton.
(Would make a sweet little Junior! or Standard though)
But as rare as a brand you're collecting Great Score!
Congrats!

It doesn't weigh that much I got it out by myself. The guy I got it from has two standards and one more 7.5 footer but with two logos on the front instead of one, I'm trying to get those now. How much does a standard usually run and how much does a 7.5 footer usually run?

As far as price.... What anyone is willing to pay.
Not enough info on that brand to set a “set” price.
Of course that makes it sound rare to the owner
but it also depends on demand. The large one
sounds like two standards together I have a Coke one
like that I paid $100 for it and sold the lids and cap
catchers on eBay and doubled my money the rest of the
cooler is at a Antique Store for a display... really catches
the eye.
Are you close to Missouri? I'd be interested in one of the standards. if it is similar to the one I posted the image of
under one of your other post.
Good Luck..... and again good score.

Hi thanks for the pic Eric does that machine work? On mine are they lids suppose to overlap each other like that? I was wondering why noone would reply but then someone else told me that Barq's machines were't very common. The guy that has the machines lives in CA. He said a guy down the road from him has a Barq's machine smaller than a JR. Not sure what that is suppose to look like but he said it's rare and about $3200. About the price, reason I was asking I paid $1000 for this big one and he wants $1500 for the smaller ones not sure if that was a good price for a original working condition machine. When I got the 7.5 footer all it needed was some freon work, needed to be refilled, some wires had been cut, that cost about $140.

As far as the lids I don't know... there is a set on ebay right now (look under quikold) I know they made sliding lids but
they don't look like that and of course the flip type like you see on westinghouse.
Smaller than a Jr?...... I would think he has the master, standard and juniors mixed up a master is a little wider
than a standard and a Junior is half the size of a standard
using one standard lid. Anything smaller would be a picnic cooler. '<img'>
Get pictures if you can....
Is that $1500 for both standards? Again get pictures if they're nice and at that price I'd go in with you. Just getting them from there to Missouri....
The picture I posted was of a machine on ebay a couple years ago then was removed so I don't know what happened to it. The lids on ebay look like that set.... they don't slide.
Keep beating the bushes!.... Looks like things are finally falling your way.
