Well I just got back from a great weekend road trip with the family. Picked up some great machines, met some great people, and had a great time sight seeing with the family. Doesn't get any better than this. Janet and I and Holly our 11 year old daughter took of Friday evening for Georgia to go to Jays house to pick up a Scottsman ice machine and a VMC Dr Pepper machine. We drove thru rain all the way down there. Next morning we were going to Lookout Mountain but it was raining. So we went to Jays house in the morning to pick up the machines. I purchased the Scottsman and the VMC Dr Pepper and a nice original VMC 33 and a nice original Cornelius Super Serve dispenser. Then Jay talked me into buying one of his Galaxie dispensers to go with the Scottsman. I also picked up a rare Vendo 39 pre cooling tray. This would hold six bottles and would fit inside the machine next to the evaporator. Never seen or had a chance to buy one of these so I had to buy it. Then Joey showed up to pick up the machines that he bought. Joey and Jay are both great guys and great to talk to. I am very glad that I finally got to meet Joey. With all the machines there I think Joey and I both felt like a couple of kids in the candy store.  biggrin We left Jays with the rain finally slowing down so we headed to Lookout Mountain. When we got there the rain had stopped and the sun came out. So we spent the rest of the day there and had a great time. Jay had recommended this great Smokehouse to try in MontEagle TN. So on the way home we stopped off there and had dinner. If you are ever that way I HIGHLY reccommend this place. Eric you would have died. There at the counter is an original Quicold 7UP cooler. This place had vintage soda machines, moonshine still, popcorn machines you name it I think it was there. I never seen so many different flavored bottle soda in one place. They even had Pepsi in bottles there. The food was out of this world GREAT... and just put a great ending to a great road trip.

Rod it was great to meet you and your family. I had a great time visiting with you guys. I ended up buying 8 machines on this trip, A pile of parts and a Hot Peanut Warmer. Like you guys I spent two days driving in the rain. All in all one of the best buying trips that I have had in a long time.
