      It's actually made by American Vendor, even has it on the ID plate in his pictures but Splendor sounds cool too!  biggrin

Square front AV 124 are very rare to find. I have had my OrangeNesbitts AV 124 since 1999ish. It cools like a dream. The only part I am missing is the stainless steel spear trim. Paint is faded with very little surface rust. No rust holes. They used alot of wood on internal structure.  They are very neat machines. The 124 model was released in 1949. The front door was added in design to make loading of machine easier, plus working on  the compressor system easier too.

Model 120 and 124 were produced for  Nesbitt's,cliquot club, hood's, coke, 7up, hires, spur cola dr pepper,squirt, lyons rootbeer, whistle, red rock cola, pepsi, cobbs florida, sun-spot, wonder orange, rummy, o-so grape, orange crush, nichol kola, mission orange, cal- cola, bireley's, grapette.  Model 124 replaced the 120 model. Pepsi bottler in alaska purchased 40 units of 124's.

The coolers were painted in standards colors. All units were decaled by the bottler or by AV if the bottler sent the decals to AV. Custom color was available if the bottler order at least 25 units of that color.
