Glass bottled soda seems to be making a big comeback.

On our drive from PA to FL 2 weeks ago, I found just about every Kwik-e-Mart along I-95 has a cooler with ice and glass bottles of Coke/Pepsi/RC/Dew, etc.  I even found one in Georgia with glass bottles of RC, Nehi, Sundrop and Cheerwine.

Found them in Spokane, Washington as well.

Took awhile but they were at the "Cash and Carry" store. Supplier to restaurants and such.
Think it was like $25.00 a case for twist off tops non-returnable.
I'ts best if I have my two MD's in the morning before any crisis or serious issue's turn up.

Not overjoyed with the bottled Dew. Seems very sugar strong to me. Bottles are just a PIA when there is no refund.

Are these bottles sweetened with HFCS or actual sugar? I almost think glass bottles sweetened with HFCS are like a climate-controlled car museum filled with nothing but Ford Pinto's.

an old school Mountain Dew would be killer.  And my local grocery has Pepsi in bottles for a buck a piece. may have to get some for variety

Not High Fructose Corn Syrup, these have sugar. I just got some and am kind of disappointed with the taste, and lack of carbonation. Also bought the Pepsi bottles that were next to the "Dew". Same thing, made with sugar and the taste just isn't there. down

Same goes for the Coke products now made in Mexico. Orange Fanta, Sprite, and Coke are available in glass bottles with the same results as above.

Pepsi recently had a "Throwback" product, may still be available in places. Ditto Mountain Dew. Sweetened with "Real Sugar" (IOW, not necessarily cane sugar), and packaged in an older style can, maybe circa late 70's style.

Those tasted rather strange to me, not really what I hoped for.  down

Maybe we're just too used to HFCS? I sometimes wonder if that stuff is as bad as the plasticizer residue found in the plastic bottles.
