Just wanted to share a sign I picked up this week from my Mother In Law's house. It was found in their basement years ago and had been misplaced for years. They found it after cleaning out the basement this spring. I think it would have been on a boiler or furnace. Anybody know anything about it? It's porcelain and could use a little cleaning. The company was located in the PA town my wife grew up in.

I somehow missed that Tom. Thanks! A lot of good information. It's my wife's hometown, but I know where a lot of the places are that are referenced in that link. Interesting how booming that area once was (even not so long ago).

It was from what I gathered, an automatic coal stoker for a coal fired furnace and/or boiler.

She has three Pennzoil signs too. Brought one of those home.

The first boiler that I ever worked on was a forties Titusville.  My job was to chip off all the asbestos and patch it.  That was before asbestos was bad.  Oo
