That's a bit steep IMO. I would hold out for a USS model so you can dispense cans or bottles. Should be around the same price.

If you can stand the ugly factor  tounge    ( any Cavalier USS models are not one of my favorite models if you didn't guess, but they are versatile vendors, too bad the bottle door is so darn clunky looking, I really like the CS models more )

Any way, how did you determine it's was manufactured in '63? the funny thing is that the style star sign is more of a 1965 vintage, so if your serial no. reads 1963, I assume the sign was a transplant. I also agree that it's still too much dollar wise...

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p

Agreed 100% the bottle doors on the USS machines are very ugly!

And  this later style 64 deviated from the red and white look the earlier ones had.

Not sure how the seller identified it as a '63.

The ad wasn't very detailed "Coke classic 1963 machine fully functional for sale".

Cant go wrong with an early Vendo 63 (1960 -1964)  with a lighted sign. You should be able to get a nice one for $400 - $600 that is ready to plug in and go.

That's a real nice Vendo 56 in Texas and is exactly what you should be looking for.

The sign could be saved and swapped for a light set from a Vendo 90.

For some reason we don't find as many Coke 56's as Pepsi .........but some red and white paint can fix that.  happydrinkers

Keep in mind that does not have a lighted sign. The lighted sign adds a lot to the looks of the machine.

I just picked up a pepsi vendo 63 with lighted sign.  Everything works and it gets cold, except for the condenser fan had to be replaced.  It was $200 local pickup.

In the early 70's we used to ride our bikes to the corner Gulf station where they had a Pepsi-63 bottle machine like this one.  For months the Mt Dew gate was broken. It would not lock. Apparently no one at the station drank Mt. Dew because it was always loaded.  We used to act like we were putting in a dime and would pull out a Dew.  I guess that is where I started on my life of crime. lol
