This is an odd question and is more for the people on the board who have been around the hobby a long time.

What was a Victor Kooler Grill worth say back in 2002 before all the reality shows drove the market through the roof. I ask because I know this is considered to be the most expensive piece out there at over $10k. So take me back before Restoration Rick and his band of misfits showed up and tell me what this thing would have gone for back in the day. Was this always considered a holy grail piece?

There's some good threads from the past if you search 'kooler' from the main page.

Here's one where 'mrsoda' sold his for over $50K in 2007 to Jeff Wolf: http://soda-machines.com/discussions/index.php/topic,8463.0.html

Found this article from 2002. Seems around $25,000 was the going rate. Incredible.

Seems safe to say I'll never own one. Beautiful piece for sure. One of the ultimate Coca-Cola collectibles no doubt.

Being the article is 11 years old I'm going to have to see if this guy is still around. If he is and he still has that machine it's only about 7 miles from me. I'd love to see it in person.

Sainato and Mancino. Definitely Youngstown Vindicator names!
