Sooooo (@ Michigan Mafia) who's back yard are they digging up looking for Mr Hoffa this week? I swear I will fall over if they pull up an old square top with Hoffa chilling in side.

He'll never be found .....it seems every few years they get a new tip that always makes for a good story on a slow news day.

I wish somebody would convince the FBI to dig at my place. I need a new driveway. :-)

I agree with Ray though. If they were going to find Jimmy, he would have turned up by now. I grew up with close relatives of most of the key suspects back in the day. When I was a Detroit News paper boy, there was a time when the papers were almost to the paper stations where we picked them up and they were all recalled to reprint the front page because of a breaking story on Hoffa. That was only about a year after the went missing and it turned out to be an empty lead.

The old guard in the mob was very good at keeping their mouths shut.  They might have been involved in a lot of illegal activities but they had honor and integrity when it came to keeping family secrets. And they were all in church every Sunday. Way different than some of the rats involved today.

But for the same reasons Tim mentioned, this dig may have credence.  The tip came form the former head of the Detroit Mafia, and while he may not have been personally involved, especially since he was in prison in 1975, hewould have known the current events.
And those old guard sure like to squeal for forgiveness on their death beds.

Welp, nothing turned up...could have told you that based on the final lines of the AP article on it:

"His attorney, David Chasnick, said Zerilli is "intimately involved" with people who know where the body is buried.

Details are in a manuscript Zerilli is selling online."  darn
