Cokes are too cold

Actually, my wife asked if I could increase the temp on my machine (Vendo 81), it is just right for me.  However, the setting is at the minimum, a "1", and the dial arrow says to increase the number for "Colder".  This means the machine is set to the warmest possible temp and is still chilling the heck out of the drinks, which does slightly bother me.  

The cokes are ice cold at this setting, so I have no room to play with as far as warmer goes.  I thought that ice cold would be at a higher setting, and that a setting of "1" would result in just "slightly cool" drinks.  Of course, I would rather have this problem than the reverse, where the machine setting has to be maxed out in order to chill the drinks properly.



Anyone else have a similar experience?

my two cents is that the person who rebuilt the machine must of replaced the old T-stat with one that has a Cut-out/range thats too low! say from 35 to 28 degree's for example, or if it's the original T-stat then it's going bad '>
the fix in either case is to replace the Thermostat, cheap and easy '>  you can bounce your troubles off of  Eric @Global commpressors

Sounds like a thermostat problem to me as well. Has the thermostat been replaced that you know of and how recent? If so, the placement of the probe could also be a factor. Depending on the the brand of thermostat, some are designed to "sense" the air off the coil in the path of the fan and others are designed to read the temperature by having direct contact to the coil itself. Jonnie is probably right though, the stat could just be bad. Does the machine cycle at #1 or just run and run? Inquiring minds want to know!

Here is a pic of it, and yes, it does cycle, so the thermostat is "working" - just too cold, especially considering I keep it at "1".
