Came across this for sale this afternoon.  Havent seen one of these before and with an asking price of $1900, I thought I would ask the experts.  Listed as unrestored and compressor not working.  Appreciate any and all advice.  Thank you.

Ummm...No. This is a behemoth of a machine, but cool looking, if you do decide to buy it, make sure it has its vending drum as it is pretty much useless eye-candy without it.

This is an uncommon machine, but not really all that desirable among collectors. With it not being in working condition his asking price is very high. You could find a Vendo 81 in non-working condition for the same price.

Id say $800 tops, depending on rust issues and if it's complete.

Yep that's it. Looks complete. Check and make sure the coin mech is there also.

From what I can see from the pics, the mech looks to be there.

Also it seems he has it double listed: locally on craigs and also on ebay.  Given there is one on ebay with an asking of $775 I dont think his is moving anytime soon.

If you spray-painted it blue it would look like a porta potty! If you converted it into one, you could buff the red paint and rent it out for parties and weddings so it wouldn't be such an eyesore!! Man that is big!

Very attractive machine (in my opinion) but HUGE - 149 bottle capacity and north of 450 lbs.  Obviously not a practical machine at 149 bottle single-flavor capacity.

Recently I've seen one locally for $1300 and one for I believe it was $700 or $800.  Both appeared to be in decent shape and were advertised as working.  I thought about going after one of them, but they are just too darn big and I don't have much in the way of help in moving them around.  That's a 2 person job.

Yes, often missing.  It's also been called a "carousel" from time to time.

Thank you all for the advice. Sounds like its more machine or portable bathroom than I need though.  tounge

If you want to stay in that price range perhaps you should look for a Vendo 39 or VMC 33. There are plenty of each out there including nice originals. Although common, still have collector value and both much smaller and more practical. Just a thought.

Bring that one home and the wife might likely bury you in it!  And it is big enough for the job!  biggrin Cool laugh

Very cool machine but way too big and way too heavy for the coin!

I think its  a cool looking machine, the front has a ton of different aspects that draw your eye.  The carasel/drum assembly is also really unique, looks like a giant version of the record lifting assembly on the old Wurlitzer/Rockola jukes.  The patina on that one is great, but it looks like its big enough to be a phone booth.
