Hi Guys,

What's the recommended method for attaching a new seal to the loading door on a Glasco slider?  It looks like you have to remove the galvanized inner door panel and the flat part of the P shaped seal goes between the inner and outer doors, held in place by the 20 or so screws.

Before I crack into it I wanted to make sure I was interpreting that correctly.

You have interpreted correctly.

Cool - thanks for the confirmation Ken.  It looks like that is next weekend's project, along with trying to get the cover plate off the coin mech on that Vendo 59 I got from Bob so I can check out the mech.   Head's up Tom - it might be coming your way for a refurb.  smile

There's a couple of blobs of rust that used to be sheet metal screws that are blocking my progress at the moment.  I have them soaking in PB Blaster, but I might just have to drill them out or cut the heads off with a dremel and use vice grips on the shaft.  There isn't much of the actual screw head left on a couple of them.

Yes that is how it is attached. But try applying a little trim adhesive to hold it in place while you fit it and punch the holes for screws.

Cutting a "V" at the corners gives a better finish than cutting it off at 45 degree angles.
