Hello

How do you remove the coin changer? Vendo 63? One machine has Vari-Price 50 & one machine has a Coinco. Both are about the same. I don't see any mounting screws? Where to look?

Have you removed the slug rejector...?
Check behind and you should see two screws with a possible thrid down lower...
All you should have to do is just lift upward to removed the coin mech...

Did you lift up on the whole coin mech...?  It should just lift off...

If it won't move upward, look along the top of the coin mech to locate the release so the slug rejector can be removed. The slug rejector is located within the coin mech frame at the top. It's the first part the coins filter through so the coin mech knows what types of coins have been deposited.

Once the slug rejector is removed, you can look for screws that may have been tightened to hold the coin mech firmly in place. There may also be a third screw located toward the bottom that may or may not need to be loosened as well...

I figured it out. The coin changer lifts up & off a set of three screws. These screws are used to suspend the coin changer.

OK I figured out the resetting of the vend price.  The front of the 75-9800A folds forward & down after raising the two upper clips. Now I have the vend price set at 25 cents.

Back to the buzzing noise. The noise appears to  be coming from the big transformer located in the top of the coinco. Can you change this transformer?

More than likely, the buzzing noise is coming from one of the CREMs situated next to the transformer.  The buzzing noise is generally caused by a weak coil in the CREM that doesn't quite have enough UMPH to keep the CREM arm pulled in against spring pressure and chatters very quickly thus the buzz noise you hear.  Only a couple of remedies:
1.  Ignore it (although it doesn't solve the problem)
2.  Check the CREMs and replace the bad one (I just sent a reply to another of your posts that goes into detail on checking CREMs)
3.  Remove the offending CREM and use electrical tape to "dead-end" the leads (separately).  This will allow coins to feed into the coin mech if there's not enough change in the change shute or if the machine is empty resulting in irritated customers for not getting a soda or not getting change.

Obviously the correct way is option 2 but finding repacement CREMs may be an issue.  Let me know what you find and I'll help in any way I can.

Thanks for the follow up. I currently have three machines (2 Vendo 63's & Vendo 56)  I am getting ready to get my second 63 in operation this weekend.

I solved this problem by putting a small section of card board under the clip at the top of the 25 cent position. I will now revisit this & properly repair.
