Does anyone have pictures of how and to what the drain plug goes into for a wd-5?  Also,  is it (container) mounted on the condenser deck or off to the side?  I restored my first one and just improvised but I want this one to be done right?

The drain has an "S" shape tube to it after it exists the tank and then has a 3" straight tube.  Originally, did it pour into as glass jar and where and how does it get mounted?  This project has only taken me 2 years and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I posted this picture because it's all I had.  Eric McCay Did a great job on the deck

The cap catcher doubles as a condensation pan.
Looks great BC! One of my favorite machines!

That was my fear.  That does not make sense that the cap catcher doubles up as a condensation pan.  That is why many of the WD-5 cap catchers rust prematurely.

Thanks Collecture for confirming what I was hoping  was not going to be the case.

I have two WD-5's - one catcher is rusted out and the other not. I plan on putting some sort of sealant/coating on the inside when I redo mine.

Not a bad idea  I will make sure we spray 2 extra coats of Clear on the inside.
