Well, I can now serve Cherry Cokes, icecream floats or banana splits using my 1950s Bastian Blessing Bobtail soda fountain.  I hooked up the C02, the Carbonater, cold plate etc and with as little luck, fired right up.  I little elbow grease and a product called "Flitz" made it shiny and new.

I had to make some minor adjustments on the mixing draft arms but they work.

I wish I had done it 12 years ago.  I have had a ton of parties for the kids over the years and had to explain why it was the only thing in the malt shop that it didn't work.  Now, most of the kids are grown and I have nobody to show it off too.

Maybe a party is in order for the Western NY and Southern Ontario members.

Enjoy

Brian

ps  Coke does taste better from a fountain.

That is nice Brian. If you want to do draught beer I picked up a 50's era draught system a couple months ago. It would blend right in.

Very cool!! Cool Cool  Very impressive. oh

I know the feeling about the kids growing up.  Nobody enjoys the toys anymore.  Grandkids are around the corner.

Flitz is my favorite metal cleaner too.  I've been using it for years.
