I have had soda I've bottled from two liters hold carbonation for at least a month or more... we bottle it warm.. seems to last longer for some reason.. more foam, but works for us..

I refill my old 6.5oz Hobbleskirt Coke bottles with new product all the time.
Generally fill them with orange and rootbeer for the kids.. they way they can use my machines..

I always have my 81D running with Beer , water and these refilled bottles of rootbeer/orange or grape in the machine.

I just buy 2 liters of whatever brand/flavor I want.

I clean the bottles ( I have 3 cases that are in great condition and have been cleaned over and over again, steralized, and alwasy rinsed after use...

I use my wine making kit gear to bottle them.. I use a siphon out of the bottle, into a bottle filler which fills from the bottom so you dont' get too much foam.. and then I just buy caps at the local brew/wine store and have I have a hand held capper... they stay good for months...

This just sounds to easy. I just ordered up a case of vintage 7UP ACL bottles and new caps and capper so I can do the same for soda going in my VMC33. I may need to get a few other items as suggested but this should be great to have. I have been vending the 8 OZ cokes but I much prefer 7UP and the vintage bottle to boot will be great. Thanks again SMC for great insight.
