Okay, working on whiteboarding the database structure.
How about:

Barnfind, in the wild
Orginal Unmolested
Original minor attempt at restore
Restored Badly
Restored Well

Here it starts to get tricky, will need input on what folks want for the editing and how the rating/sorting index works.
Up for sugesstions, the way individual machines would be listed. My stab at it. Rating for this is 1-5.

Vendo 81 D:
Private sale: $1800
eBay Listing:
CL Listing:
Other:
Orginal Condition Rated: 4
Missing Parts: No
Cooling: Yes
Serial Number: xxxaaxx
Comments: Clean orginal with Spirit boy decal attached

Next and most important issues are if SMC can support an user input dynamic database and if pics can be linked.

I recommend making using google docs, I know you can collaborate at on documents and they will all be stored online. You can change whether they are editable, readable, or viewable by others.

Creighton,

hahahaha..... sure, but don't ask some of the guys here, though. All of them will say,
anything over $400 is TOO MUCH!  glare

If you want "real" pricing, I'm afraid you'll need to to the research yourself, because
most of these guys, on this board, have no clue on what things cost or what they're worth!

Good luck... oh, here's my contribution ... Vendo 81D.... $400, Cavalier 72...$100,
VMC 81 RC Cola, $125, Westinghouse WD12... $20. Oh, and if it's over 30 miles away, factor
in the "it's too far" price, of an additional $1500, so you can whine about it and
say, "that's too much"!

Send me a signed copy of your book, when you're finished!!!!  tounge

BLAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Okay, here is a quick Google Doc alpha.

Submit Form:
<iframe src="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/embeddedform?formkey=dEhPWjZOcm5MaFowbHUydHA4ckZWekE6MA" width="760" height="1245" frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0">Loading...</iframe>

Responses are here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/gform?key=0AjCiDCpAbO7GdEhPWjZOcm5MaFowbHUydHA4ckZWekE#chart

Don't know if anyone else can see the response. Someone check please.
Bit of a pain to set up and it is not clear what happens next. If someone cares to give it a try please do.
Put "TEST" in comments. This is nowhere near what is required for a final product.

Hey Eric, I know, should just sit on the tracks and wait for the train to show up:-)
Need to give you a holler, gonna be around Mon.?

Well I don't like the way it works. Only seems to graph on select drop down box entries.
Going to try to edit sell price part. Stand by :-)

Can't edit the entry form. Seems I missed a couple of invisible hoops in the Submit part (Save didn't cut it).
Typical of Google. Losing interest in this project fast.

Great job Creighton, the most important information from each sale is retained.
I can't open the link to see how the data is displayed but I sure wish I could.
The only input I have so far is to index products the same as SMC listings, by Make then Model then Type.
Vendo > 81 > D.........Stoner > 180 > candy.

Again, thanks for your time on this.

Glen,
Thanks for the kind words. Will continue marching forth on this with that.
I'll see if I can get screen captures of what the results show.

I see there is 100 + views already. Get your suggestions in.
For the peanut gallery of lurkers this will go to the soda jerks section upon completion. Sign up and contribute.
