Getting ready to install a new 3 lead wiring harness to my RT 56.

I noticed when setting the receptacle box on the bottom deck of the compressor that the capillary tube is right in the way.  I see both screw holes on the compressor deck.  One appears to be larger for the ground wire and the smaller hole looks like for mounting the receptacle box for the condensor fan motor.

I looked at my other RT 56 and it mounted up on the fan motor bracket.  My Vendo 81 mounts directly to the compressor deck with no obstructions.

I must be an idiot!    censored

You are free to mount the new box wherever you want, just drill a new hole.

I assumed that, was just making sure there wasn't something I was missing...more curious how the old one was able to mount there?

Must of been a smaller type of receptacle / box?

Most V-56's that I've seen had the harness mounted on the fan bracket as in your second pic.
