I think it is a good time to start pondering some goals for next year.  I need to drop 25 lbs and finish a few projects that have been haunting me.  List what your plans are for next year.  I have a few.  Post some  "before pics" and some of your thoughts.

1  Lose 25lbs
2  Finish the Seeburg 222 that has been renting space at my office for the past 2 years
3  Complete a full restoration on my Jacobs 56
4  Clear out my warehouse that is costing me $2200 per year with stuff that is worthless or not valuable
5  Restore something that my wife likes
6  Finish my wd-5  and then find something to do with it ( I already have one restored)
7  Give a young (and broke) Soda Machine hobbyist  something of value from my collection for him to restore.  An act of random kindness and it will secure longevity for our hobby
8  Sell or restore the Vendo 39 that has also been taking up space in my office for the last 2 years.
9  Finish 1 gas pump.  Either the Wayne 60 or the Tokheim 36b
10 Finish the restoration on my 1954 Bastian Blessing "Bobtail" soda fountain

That's it for now.  I know I will come up with some other stuff as well.

How about giving it to an old hobbyist. biggrin

My list is to:

1 Quit drinking.
2 Realize number one is stupid.
3 Start drinking again.
4 Loose weight.  Twenty-five pounds would be a good start.
5 Finish my Stoner Cafe 500D.
6 Start on my DuGrenier.
7 Start on my Metal Typer.
8 Build some walls in my basement.
9 Rewire 2nd floor.
10 Build new outside porch.
11 Install new breaker box.
12 Fix busted drain pipe.
13 Screw it, go back to number three.

I'm very lucky, my wife gave me a 'garage makeover' for Christmas.  I guess my resolution would be to keep it looking as good as it does now.   happydrinkers

Hopefully she's not telling me that I need to take my Coke machines out into the garage!

Have not really given it a lot of thought until now but here goes:

1.  Be a better husband to my wife.  She deserves it for putting up with this hobby!
2.  Be a better father to my boys--reconnect with my youngest son by restoring a Vendo 110 with him.
3.  Be the top fundraiser for the 2013 Komen Mid-Michigan Ride for the Cure.  I am getting damn tired of hearing about more friends of mine being diagnosed with breast cancer.
4.  Ride 100 miles on my bike in less than 6 hours.  Current record 6 hours 29 minutes.
5.  Drop another 40 lbs. by eating better and riding my bike.
6.  Get cracking on finishing my basement so my machines can be properly displayed.

Here's to hoping I can at least accomplish the first three!

I don't see any machines in the garage Jim! It almost looks unfinished without them!

1. 25 # must be a theme here - I need to lose 35#, but would be happy with 25!
2. Be a better husband/father - not that I am bad, but I think I could do better!
3. Remodel the Kithen and both bathrooms
4. Drink more!

My wish list is for those of us who love the hobby with a limited income:

10.  Make it to at least one large show this year
  9. Be more patient when allowing assistance on a restore from my 10 year old daughter
  8. Be more patient with my wife when things go wrong----she's allowing me the time to restore
  7. Finish basement man cave so I can display items in a fun and functional way
  6. Don't overpay for items just because I really like it.....more are out there
  5. Finish my Stoner restoration
  4. Acquire my next project....maybe something pinball/arcade related
  3. Make it to the National Pinball Museum in Baltimore
  2. Help folks out whenever I can regarding knowledge or tools for restoration process
  1. Drop 25 pounds...     hopefull      ....the most important, but the most unlikely
