Cut a piece of poster paper large enough to cover the decals. With the white side up apply a complete coverage of water soluble glue such as Elmer's. Tape the edges of the paper to keep them from curling. Let the glue dry completely. You can now apply the decals directly over the glue surface on the paper. When ready to apply to fresh painted embossing, soak them in warm water and they will easily lift from paper to apply to soapy embossing.

I think this is a method to get the water release decals off the backing they come on from the supplier...to apply one at a time without ripping or distorting them

tkaz, you seem to be one of a few with a workable brain on this site. I don't think my post said one word about water release decals. Funtronics sells vinyl decals that go over the embossed letters on certain coke machines such as COCA COLA vending machines and i call them embossing decals. the rest of the post should be pretty clear.

Comments like won't get you too far on this site.

Usually people when writing tutorials write a step by step directions including pictures.
I think people would be able to understand your tutorial better in that type of format.

A great one to look at would be Jim's which is pin up at the top of the page titled "CRANK HANDLE ASSEMBLY"

sgk101... English only on this site please.

Glad to see you have time to help us with decals on your break from NASA

In reading your other posts, I think your caps lock is stuck... you might want to find a release for that.

sgk101 -I would highly recommend you have an adult proof read your post before posting it.

Don't see any need to delete the thread, yet.
OP did take some time and effort to write and post.
Some clarification with pics would help this old brain get a grasp of the concept.
Never know, might learn something new.

If this thread turns into a grade school playground scenerio, will be gone in a NY second :-)

New York second... how do you measure that? Is that how long it takes Arod to strike out in the playoffs?

Good point! Shouldn't preach clarification without being precise. Will just amend to a standard second. 1/60th of a minute :-)

I think that some of the confusion may come from the answer to the question that was never asked.   All of you guys on this site have been doing this for years and, quite frankly the information offered was old news (some may say "common sense") to you. As a relative newbie myself I was kind of following his original concept, but must admit the writing was a little unclear.   A small piece of advice however my friend, don't bite the hand that feeds.  One of these days your going to need some help and generally those who have essentially been called morons probably won't be queuing up in line to help you out.........
