I had someone contact me the other day wanting to get rid of a coke machine. They cannot describe what it looks like or who it is made by. All that I know is that the numbers on the side are A9100-807, and 105495. It is a 5 cent machine. I know this probably doesn't help at all but if anyone can Id this please let me know. The machine is about 4 hours from my house and even though they say it is in good condition I don't want to drive that far for nothing.

Well if it's a 5-cent/coin operated machine chances are it a 50's vintage, & that would prompt me to take a road trip!   ':<img:'> But if all it say's is "5-cents" that could mean anything from a slider to chest cooler.
So can't the guy even say if it a "coke" machine?  & what color it is?  round corners, etc.  honestly sometimes getting info out of people is like pulling teeth, ( and considering that he wan'ts to sell you something) you'd think he'd show a little interest

He is actually a she. The machine is at a house that was used I think, for rental property. The lady hasn't seen the machine in 20 years or so but it is an upright machine. I am tring to get the details as we speak.

I just got some more info. They said that it is a square top. Is this possible. Did they make a square top in a 5 cent machine?

Sure, you can set the price on  Coinco S75-9800 A/B changer any were between 5cents, up to $1.55 , it all depends what coin mech they have in it...even if it's an old fixed price mech.

model A ( 5-cents to 75-cents)
model B ( 5-cents to $1.55 )

Keep us informed!

I know that you can set the mech. This machine is origional and has set in this garage since it was taken out of a barber shop about 20 years ago so no one would have put a 5 cent sticker on it. So the machine must have origionally been a 5 cent machine is what I am thinking.

Well, if it was in service 20 years ago, that would put it in 1984, which as I recall, there wasn't any soda selling for 5-cents a bottle or can, (I'm not that old!) so unless they were giving the stuff away to their customers, I can't picture a 5-cent soda machine in that decade, I mean even the deposit was still 10-cents per bottle then, so my guess is that they were using it to just provide cold drinks for themselves & maybe their customers & thats the lowest they could set the price on the machine...& with that you may draw your own conclusions '<img'>

still might be worth a little more time on the phone...I mean, the darn machine has to have somthing on it! (Coke, Pepsi, etc) depending on what they're asking ( giving it away) & how far you'd have to drive ( four hours you said? one way?)
you know what they say about a "gift horse" or a "white elephant"  good luck & let us know what you find!

Well they aren't giving it away. I think they want something like $100. for it. It is a Coke machine. I don't believe I was clear about the whole in service. It was stuck in the back room of a barber shop probably not even pluged in. What I was saying is I don't think someone would take the time to replace a 10 or 15 cent price foil for a 5 cent one on a machine that is is storage. So I was asking if there were any square top machines that would have been in the era of 5 cent sodas. also they said the machine is about 5 foot tall and it is a slant shelf machine. The drive is about 4 hours each way but that doesn't matter to me I have family in that area so I will stop by for a visit while I am there.
