Ok so I started out in this hobby with Coca-Cola but have moved into other brands. My latest dispenser is a Pepsi dispenser and I was asked when it was made and I am having a really hard time trying to nail down a range. If it was Coca-Cola it would be very easy to date the logos and I would think the same thing is true with Pepsi but I don’t know much about dating their logos. I do know that the double dot log was the early style and then the single dot logo. On the dispenser in question there is a Pepsi-Cola script logo on the tap handle with a single dot and a Diet Pepsi (also says sugar free) tap handle. Then the one that is really throwing me off is the large round red, white and blue script Pepsi Cola sign with no dot! One of the other taps has Teem on it and I don’t know when Teem was produced. The dispenser is made be Cornelius and this type was first made in the late fifties so I have a starting point and was hopping to get a bit more information on the logos to help narrow down when it could have been made. Thanks for the help,
Steve

P.S. The round sign on this is most likely the same sign that was used on Cornelius soda machines so maybe that would help to date it.

Yea that looks really classy. You could always remove the pespi logos and put on coke. But then again something that nice is not to be touched. I was wondering how those older machines worked. I seen some used co2 but if I go back to say um 1910? Did it use co2 or did it just despense syrup into a cup. I see the wonderful pictures and think well you could technically use the syrup from a standard bag is needed. I noticed old time syrup jugs on ebay. Can you explain to me a little better what dates I'm looking at for what. I was thinkng of installing a co2 type system in my home. Cost currently prohibits that.

Racer,
Diet Pepsi was introduced in 1964
Teem was in production from the 'late 50's' to mid to late 1960's, although some regions continue to produce it well into the 70's.
Pepsi's single dot was used from the 1951 until approx 1959 (no one seems to have an official end date, best I was ever to find is "the late 50's")
The font style in the overhead sign -  'pepsi' is definately early 1960's, i.e.  1959 - 1966.
The font in the round sign throws me, but the red and blue swish style in the sign came out in 1962.

- Disclaimer: I am in no means a Pepsi expert, and it's possible the handles and signs were changed, but my gut feeling is the dispenser is circa 1963 -1964

Kilroy thanks for the info, I opened the dispenser up and found that 66 had been hand written inside both the front and back sections. I am not sure but that might mean it was made in ’66? The logo dates help regardless of the 66 thanks again.

Pat yep it is a neat dispenser and as far as where I get them well if I told you that… if you must know and promise not to tell anyone else *whispers ebay* ':<img:'>
