My collection so far...!

« on: September 14, 2012, 01:03:58 am »

Hey everyone,

Just picked up this Royal Crown Cola stadium Vendor carrier off eBay.  Sandblasted it down today and going to start on the dents...anyone have any idea on how much it is worth (in this condition and after it is restored?)  I have been looking online and only find Coke.  I know this is a super rare one!  Also anyone know roughly what year it was used?

Thanks!

I think stadium coolers were 40 or 50s. I sold a couple of restored ones for a friend of mine, a Coke and Dr.Pepper one. I was very surprised how little they went for. Around $400 each and they were both nicely restored.

Thanks. Im hoping I can get a little more money for mine when I finish it...there is some pitting on it but nothing a little bondo can't fix.    tounge  I spent a couple hours last night straightening the thing out...it is nice and straight. All I got to do is finish fixing  a couple spots then bondo and paint!  Next question is, leather or canvas strap?  Also do you know what that thing on te side is for? The square shape thing with the sides angled like the Bottom of a pyramid...?   .my guess is bottle cap bucket went there...thanks.

Stadium coolers have seemed to have raised in price recently. kinda like how airline coolers did a few years ago. I could have bought a coke one for $90 and see them selling for $400(unrestored) all the time now.

All stadium vendor carriers that had their original straps were made of canvas. Never saw one made of leather.
