Obviously I'm sure Carl knows what he's doing but where is the new gasket? kinda hard to put that on after the door liner is screwed on?  just a simple observation?
It just must be his way of doing assembly. It will have a new door seal for sure.

I don't See the Door Liner Huh? Looks like undercoating
It is a door liner not undercoating.
Not picking on his work but I would for sure want the junction box chrome plated to give the compressor area some more shine.
If the part was not originally chromed it will not be chromed on this particular restoration either as of choice.

Thanks for your insight guy's. It helps to receive your comments so I know what to look out for.

I doubt that is the case and I really appreciate the feedback from members as I have never done a restoration on a soda machine so all comments are welcomed.

Doesn't the gasket have to be screwed on as well when putting the liner in?... the gasket goes between the main door and liner right?..

yes, that is why I made that comment.. I've never seen or know of a way to put the door liner on first without the gasket lip underneath it... I wouldnt' think he'd take out all the screws and put it back in? just seemed wierd to me.... glare

I am thinking he is waiting on a gasket (or something) and simply has the liner hanging on there by a single screw center top.

New holes always have to be drilled for 81 liners. I think it was about the time it was being sized for new holes that it got hung just for the photo shoot.

As discussed Carl has his way of doing the job and the new gasket is installed correctly as required.

The machine is just about complete with only a few things remaining to be complete. I think it turned out stunning and am glad I made the decision to have it restored to it's original glory. What do you think ?

Looks AWESOME

 happydrinkers

Glad you kept it all white... as it should be.
Although I'm turning my 7up 110 half green, simply because the 110 is much larger, and it's just too much white.
