I went to my local auction tonight and they had a baseball card sell for $62,000.... Really, I'm not kidding. Oh, ya, plus 15% commission! It was nuts. Google it tomorrow, it will make the news.

I keep telling you all everything is too expensive up here in the north east!!!

WOW that's a lot of cash...I just read the article they must have marketed it well as there were 1000 internet bidders from all over the place and 12 phone bidders ...A phone bidder was the winner

BTW does the T in MaineT  stand for Tim

The internet bidding is over-inflated. They are part of Auctionzip.com and Liveauctioneers.com and both have live bidding so people sign up to bid on other items. A normal night they have 600 between the 2 websites anyway signed up to bid. They had a lot of good stuff in the summer, so they get a ton of internet bids anyway.

Ed, the T was just in case someone already had taken just Maine. I didn't put any thought into it when I signed up. I thought I would ask my couple of questions and be done with it but didn't know how addictive this is!
