This one came out of nowhere and I thought it was pretty cool. Drove all the way to Knoxville to get it from Atlanta. Everything cools and works great. The original paint isn't bad, it just has a lot of minor surface rust. Even the belt-line rust was better than expected. I am a coke man, but I am pretty excited about this one. Not bad for 500 bucks eh? drinking

Very nice indeed!
Sorry for the mundane question, but do you live in Atlanta and drove to Knoxville...? Your statement reads a little funny to me...
At any rate, very nice original survivor!

Yes I live in Atlanta. It was a long night last night! I drove straight from work and straight back home. Nice people and a cool machine I can't wait to get started on! I have to finish my 23 first and it will be a while. I thought I was cleaning out rust from the tub, when I realized I was already to the cabinet! More on that in another thread.

Thanks for the comments. Been a while since I have fixed a machine up, but I am back and addicted as ever. It felt cool ordering a bunch of parts again. Ill keep you guys posted when I start this one. I think I am going to keep the paint original and replace all the necessary inside stuff (wiring, insulation, fan motors, gaskets, breaker strips, etc).

Great pick up!!  I like my long drives to get the machines.... gives me down time, and a chance to clear my head while on a nice long interstate  smile

Just a little incentive below to get you started on your machine.  I wish I had an all blue one, but this one was restored by someone else, and it was calling me lol

Again, enjoy, and congrats on your 1st Pepsi.... Somehow I don't think it will be your last lol

We should make you a member of the Michigan Mafia. To bring a Pepsi machine into the middle of Coca Cola land takes guts Smiley

Congrats, it is a great find

I am originally from Detroit and go there every year to fish. In fact, I just met Pat this year for the first time. My uncle was telling me that a neighbor of his sells coke machines. Low and behold, that was Pat.

No I am sure this won't be my first! I can't decide whether to keep it all blue or do the two tone. I really like that look. That is a sweet machine!

Thanks guys! I am excited about it. I think this one is gonna get the full restoration done on it. I really like the 2 tone look, so this one is getting painted, powdercoated etc.
