Looking at getting one of these... Questions:
1: Will it hold the 20oz plastic bottles? 2: Where can I get pepsi in a glass bottle?
Thanks!

A: NO only 1/2 liter (maybe, depending on which brand)
B: Mexico/SanAntonio TX. & Saginaw,MI & the Internet, try a Google search under "soda pop"

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

maybe dumb reply... But who makes a 1/2 liter?
And is there a way to retro fit it to take the 20oz or cans?

Oh, sorry ! it was Coke, they have a 1/2 liter contour shaped bottle that will just fit through the bottle-gates diameter,
I Can still get Pepsi in 12 oz Glass up here in Saginaw, MI. ( some of the local import stores carry them) also 12 oz.Coke/Diet coke, 12oz. Sprite, 12oz. 7up, 12 oz.Squirt all in glass bottles imported from Mexico/ Via Texas

So I could maybe just cut the circles bigger to let the 20oz bottles through? or is that a no no?
Want to use the machine for my home office so I don't have to go downstairs to get a pop / beer

you'd have a tough time at it. as the edge is rolled-over & a heavy gauge metal as well, plus teh vending shelfs floor ( just behind the bottle opening where the bottle waits to be vended) wouldn't drop down far enough either) you might want to keep an eye out for a can vending gate for your VF56, it would bolt right in place of the bottle gate now in the machine, and then allow you to vend 12oz. cans, or go with an upright machine that vends both, like Westinghouse MD78 or 102 select-a-matic. just a thought, or maybe a nice "slider" like an Ideal 55 or a Glasco 50.

Actually your model is a VF56/Pepsi and it came in either a bottle vendor or a can vendor. here's what you'll be looking for, as you "can" see ( bad-pun) , it's a little bit different, but it will bolt right in place of your old unit.

Wow I just love the net! Thanks for the info...
So a VF56/Pepsi.... so it ISN'T a Vendo 56 Flat top?
Hmmm guess I'm in luck... So where would be the best place for a noob like me to find a can vendor part?
What's your take on the machine? Good little machine?
