This was 2 steps away from going to the scrap yard. What it be is a late 20's price sticker mini printing press that can also print the center of old style movie tickets.
Have it freed up and cycling. Bit more cleaning and oiling and will be good to go.

That's awesome!  That would be too cool for a movie night with a bunch of people.

I guess stuff gets thrown out every day, but how something that unique gets slated as trash just baffles me.  Did have a guy give me a rough Dole dispenser once.  He pulled it out of a dumpster after watching a guy chuck it.  Wasn't very pretty, but it was still an embossed Coke dispenser - even had 2 bases.  He paid zero for it, but didn't really know what to do with it so I got it by default.

I got a fully functional 1977 Triumph Spitfire (with Overdrive) a few years ago, just for the cost of the truck to pick it up.

When I arrived the guy asked "do you want any of the spare parts?"  About 2-3 hours later we filled (literally stuffed) a U-Haul 10' box truck with enought parts to almost build another Spitfire, including a spare engine and bonnet (that's a "hood" in American), two boot lids (trunk lids), several doors and a complete set of suspension parts wheels and tires.

He originally bought it for his son as a project but his son decided he didn't want anything to do with it and the guy was tired of trying to sell it locally so he was going to take it to the scrap yard.  He sent a post to a Spitfire group online that I belong to on a Friday evening, saying "come pick it up this weekend or it goes".   So, after a quick phone call, I jumped on a plane at 5:30 the next morning - rented a truck/trailer locally and brought it home.

When I got it home, I checked it over more closely (rust-free!), changed the oil, put in a fresh battery and an isolated gas feed.  It started after cranking it for about 30 seconds and idled as smooth as you please.  I cleaned it up to the point where it was safe to drive, which took all of a day, and sold it on to someone to finish the cosmetics.
