Once you have the tops roughly open, you could use one of these muffler pipe expansion tools to expand them without much effort.  (you can rent them)

Worth a shot. I think that could be what I need to finish up with. Amazon has a bunch for $20...I'll grab one. Thanks!

The hammer of Thor arrived today.



Put it too work and within 20 minutes had all the bad cylinders expanded enough to where the bottle slides in effortlessly. The bottle in the picture is in the cylinder that had the most damage. Thanks to you guys that recommended this awesome little tool. Must own for any Vendo 23.

I like how you were barefoot in the photo working on the machine.

I frequently step in the garage barefoot (intending to just be in there for a second) and tinker with one of my sliders for a 1/2 hour before I realize I should probably have shoes on.

Nice job on fixing your machine!
