So I took the vending parts out to clean behind it and found some markings I thought I would post cause some people might find this interesting.

one seems to be a build date of some sort. The other side says soundproofing 5/10/20... and this would explain the sprayed in fuzziness inside.

I got it to vend with a nickle, but I have to hold a brass bar over to the side. Don't know if its missing a spring or what the issue is.

I also found 4 buffalo nickels, 4 silver nickles, and 5 other nickels, and 2 wheat pennies?!?!

I also put a picture of my find this morning.. another project on the list!!

Thanks for sharing the photos MaineT. The markings 3-31-41 confirm that this model Stoner Theatre was produced in 1941. Tim's machine also has "1941" in grease pencil. Later versions of Stoner Candy machines had a serial number plate that indicated the year of production in the first two digits.

Man, was I way off....... It's still a vending machine....a manual coin-op!  It's a nice unique piece that can still be usefully, the smell of roasted peanuts reminds me of the ball park.
