I brought home my first machine (a CS-96e) a few weeks ago and was warned by many of you that it would not be my last.   Well, my lovely wife begged to disagree and said that it would indeed be the only Coke machine allowed in "her" living room.

Fast forward a few weeks to an episode of American Restoration on the DVR.  I know there are many and varied opinions about Rick Dale and his work, but I do enjoy the show.  It's called 'suspension of disbelief'.   tounge

On the particular episode we were watching, he was restoring a Pepsi cooler-style machine.  I casually remarked, "that's pretty cool" to which she said "I wouldn't mind one of those...but it would have to be a Coke one".    ....and we have lift off!

I like my mechanical vending machines (the engineer in me) and she likes the cooler-style smaller machines - so I think a perfect compromise would be a Spin Top style machine.

After that long-winded explanation, if anyone out there has one they would be interested in parting with please let me know.  I can't see paying $2k for one on eBay.   Ideally I would like one that is complete and mechanically sound, that maybe needs a little cosmetic TLC.  I am in south-central PA, and willing to pick up within a couple hour's drive or pay for shipping.

Thanks!
Jim

Here's a nice one, and in driving distance:

I have no connection to the machine or the seller.

Thanks Kilroy, that is a nice machine and seems like a "fair" price if it is as described.

8 hours each way for me is a bit of a haul, not out of the question, but it would have to be a REAL bargain - if you know what I mean.   Unless maybe the seller happens to be a member here that might be willing to meet me part way.  <hmmm>    I'll drop them an email and see if I get a reply.

Thanks!

Not bad - and definitely a lot closer to me, unfortunately SHE really wants a Coke version.  Seems these are relatively plentiful, so I'll keep looking for the 'right' one.

i think an operator sprayed it Pepsi blue, as I don't believe vendo made the V23 for anyone but Coke.

Absolutely!   I would really appreciate it.   I would much rather buy one from a member of this community - thanks!

I believe you are right - taking a closer look at the picture, I can see blue spray on the coin mech and it looks like some red under the edge of the lid.  Original...yeah, right.

Bummer - well, I will keep an eye out for one (they seem pretty common) and would greatly appreciate it if anyone that knows of one available would drop me a PM.

Thanks!

I'm in south-central PA (York), so about an 8 hour drive from Cincy.  That's probably on the far edge of what I'm willing to drive, would probably have to make it an overnight stay somewhere,  but for the right machine it is definitely not out of the question.    Plus...I've never been to Cincinnati.   ;-)
