Again, just thought I would share my new metal box (as my wife would say)

It's a Vendo 56
Im posting the before and After pics, as I had it detailed

The machine is 100% original, never been touched!!  It was a indoor store machine back in the day, just waiting for me to show her off lol.

Does this not allow me into some kind of 56 club now? lol... or even an honorary Michigan Mafia member? lol

Welcome to the RT-56 club. That is an outstanding example, congrats!! Highest serial number I've ever seen. Mine is 7905.
Think it takes a Faygo and a Lacrosse to apply to the MI Mafia :-)
Any chance of a picture with the coin door open? Interested in the surviving decals.
Thanks!

Really nice machine! A survivor for sure!
See through bottle door and all!
I'm guessing it has the transitional SD/LD mech in it from the decals.
If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

Here is the pic of the coin mech... let me know if you want a different pic, or closer up with a flash etc....

This machine was on Ebay a couple of weeks back.  I was the only bidder on the machine, but there were others interested in it, one even from this board who contacted me and we chatted about it (I'll leave it up to them if they want to let u all know who they are)

No hiding how much I paid for it, 2500.00
Did I pay too much? I think I did, but then again, I have other factors that most here don't.
I live in Canada, where we dont have the amount of RTs here, and what is here, its been brought up by guys like me.
I have to locate a machine in condition, price, time to pick up etc ALL before hand where I cant just tell someone on CL I'll be there in 2 minutes.... I cant drive 5-7 hrs to just go look at a machine.
As well, Im not in it to resell unless a better one comes along, so if I have to pay more for one that I want / like.. then so be it.
I figure if I live to be 80 years old, it's only like .17 cents a day for the rest of my life to own a 56 lol.

I know most here can get a 56 cheaper, and maybe one day I could have too... but in emailing the seller, getting LOTS of pics of the machine, etc... it was just WAY too good of a  machine condition wise to pass up.  I was actually surprised that I was the only bidder considering what other machines sell for on Greedbay.

Dont get me wrong though, the machine does have the regular nicks a little dent on the front, one on the ID side, and small rust spots on top where somehow water got just on the top of the machine, something like a plant?
I can post a pic of the top if ya all want.

I remember telling someone on here once about a 110.  He thought the asking price was too high, and I told him if you like it, can afford it, and love it, then get it... what's a few hundred in the grand picture of life. So I took my own advice  smile

Here was the Ebay listing

This reinforces what I was talking about with Johnny's Orange Crush 81.
The decal "Do Not Deposit Coins If Bottles Are Not Visible" is only applicable when the coin mech cannot return monies inserted and accepted.
Great coin mech to have in any machine because you can easily set it to free vend for parties.
