I need help reinstalling this part from my V81D.  I think it came from the fluorscent light assembly.  Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

It looks a little distorted, but I am pretty sure it is the center piece that holds the glass in place on the bottle door light assembly.

Thank you very much.  Yes you are right, it is a little distorted because I accidentally stepped on it.  You can tell i am a newbie and this is my first machine!

I installed it on the center holes of the bottle door light assembly.  Does it wrap around the outside of the glass lens?  It does not seem to be holding anything in place.

       The glass has to be slid inside the stainless steel cutout. Press it in against the top spring, slide it up then down against lower spring until it is centered. Then install retainer.

This is how I installed it.  Is it correct?  It just does not look right with a retainer in the middle of the glass lens.

Just took a look at my unrestored 81-D and that is correct!

You will have to post pictures of the entire machine when you are done!
