thanks...

started out as a compressor unit rebuild. I don't have any problem doing this kind of work, as
you can see... I can do it.

I won't share a "price" though, as some of the "loud mouths" on this site, might  claim I charge too much!

thanks guys.

Creighton....he's even okay with the price... imagine that! Understood the difference between uncle Bob's "garage" and a "real" shop, with "real" bills, overhead, inventory, and everything in stock, needed to complete the job. Not a "tight wad" for sure... Of course, I didn't charge anything up front and....I was even a week past the due date, OMG!!!

I'll keep my eyes peeled though, and see if he "whines" in a post on this site...too expensive, shoty quality, or taking too long.... you know, stuff like that.

We'll see.

Very nice work Eric.

Occasionally folks come over and see the restos I have done and they ask how much I would sell a machine for.  Usually, they can't believe how much I quote them and then I try to explain that it is expensive and time consuming to do a quality resto (parts, body & paint work, powdercoating, etc) and that I really wouldn't make much for my labor if  I did sell one.

thanks Bud...

I'm just trying to make a point. You know and I know, this is expensive. Soda machine collecting is NOT a cheap hobby...just under
gas pumps, juke boxes and cars.

My customer is fine with what I quoted. He knows the quality of my work and never had a problem with it.

I made that comment, because in the 10 years I've been a member on this site, I've never seen such a batch of
babies, whine and cry more, about the cost of restorations, refrigeration, parts and "stock" machines on
Craigslist and Ebay. I've read posts, from some of these people, on this site, sending nasty messages to someone who
has a machine for sale or to a "restoration company" simply over the "pricing" or "perceived" workmanship.

To these few individuals... I say blow it out your ass. If you don't like the price of something, or the cost of restoration, or
the quality is below "YOUR" standard...DON'T BUY IT and stop whining. If someone is selling an item, and feels like it's worth "X",
and won't budge on the price....YOUR LOSS....move on! And if you can do better on restoring, BUY A CAN OF RUSTOLEUM...and join the restoration business!

The "spirit" of this site just isn't the same as before and I'm not the only one who shares this sentiment. I guess these few "trolls" didn't
learn any manners, from their Momma's.

Just like the astronaut once said when asked ( do you think a rocket is worth the cost were paying to have it built) answer was----  would you want to go to the moon in a rocket the lowest bidder built?
