That sucks down I really liked their pop and they had great customer service. They actually sent me 6 unused bottle caps to use as flavor selections for my pepsi machine for free.

Damn....and I was planning a trip in May to get my bottles refilled....damn lawyers!
It says DPS will still sell the pure cane sugar DP, but a lot of good that does me with 10 cases of original bottles. Doubt they will refill them like Dublin did?

WOW!!  That really is crappy. veryangry  Pat mentioned that the conglomerate would be after the little guy at the Chicago show.  I just checked out their site and Dublins completely stripped off of everything.  They don't even have the Dr. Pepper syrup anymore.  I used it to make pancake syrup and it was pretty good.  Oh well, there is always West Jefferson for a descent priced Dr. Pepper with cane sugar.

I noticed that the old Dublin sites Dr. Pepper and some other brands mention that they use sugar, not necesarilly cane sugar.  The throw back sodas were beet sugar.  Oh by the way, they do have bacon soda, just incase anyone is thirsty. Oo

It really is a sad day and I have a very heavy heart!! It truly disgusts me that the $5 billion DP/Snapple group has to beat down on the $7 million little guy. If anything, Dublin helped the DP brand - not diminish it! Corporate greed has hit a new low!!
I started going to Dublin in the early 1980's to get my DP's in the bottle. I'd also stop by the Coca Cola plant in Stephenville (30 mi. east of Dublin) to get bottled Coke. Then Coke stopped refilling the bottles, but I continued going to Dublin to get my DP. I moved to Arizona in the mid-1980's; however, I would travel back to Dallas once a year to visit family and friends. I always brought back my cases of empties and would detour through Dublin. Bill Kloster (RIP) knew me as the guy from Arizona and recognized me when I'd see him. We'd always chat a bit and one time he took me into the office where the walls were covered with DP signs. I saw a full debossed DP bottle with original crown on a shelf and mentioned I had an empty bottle like that. He picked it up and gave it to me and told me to bring my bottle in and he would bottle it with an original crown. I would always forget to bring it and he passed before I ever did - I still have the bottle he gave me.
When we had children, the stroller, crib, etc. took up most of the space that used to be occupied with empty bottles. Then my mother passed in 2005, we had our 2nd child in 2006 and I just didn't go back as much.
My kids are 6 & 10 now and I had this trip all planned to go back this May, see some family, bring all my cases of bottles for a refill. Now I am just despondent!!
