I almost have my ideal 35 ready to prime ,but I was wondering if any one knows why there are two brass studs in the front ? They just mount into the cooler and do not seem to have a purpose should I remove them or leave?

This is a complete guess on my part but maybe someone had a sign on it at one point and took it off. Maybe it had a NEHI sign below the RC Cola?? Just a guess.

Well I did find this one on line that had been restored and I can see the same studs and they were painted over.

Personally, I'd take them out , since they have no purpose.

I used a soft brass wire cup brush on large areas and a soft brass wire end grinder brush in tight spots. This works best for me with out taking too long.
