Hi all,
Finally had time to finish my Squirt slider. It took a little longer than expected (don't they all?).
This is my second slider restoration (a 7-up is the other one). It was in fair shape when I aquired it about
20 years ago.The inside tank had some rust holes so I made a new one from stainless steel.I also
had to make a new lid, front stainless trim piece and the 'half-round' strip that runs along the lower
edge of that piece. A friend of a friend painted on the 'little squirt' logo. I had the inside rack and flapper
powdercoated silver.
For all those currently restoring a machine, I would like to say the end result more than makes up for
all the frustration and headaches that are a part of any restoration-so stay at it!
Thanks for your interest,
Chris.

Looks awesome Chris, is the 'Squirt' embossed on it?  I love the off-brand stuff, and this one is killer.

Thanks for your replies gentlemen. Yes, it is an embossed machine.
The red lettering was applied up to the edge of the embossing.
And to think this machine was going to be set outside as a planter
for a guys wife! (fortunately I saved it).
