As I was taking apart my vendo39 I noticed there was some sort of black sealant that was used on the seams of the main cabinet and the backside of the bottle door.  Does anyone know what I can use for this when I start to reassemble?  This is my first machine so I am not sure on a lot of things that are probably pretty common to others.  Thanks for the help.  Pictures attached.

It's a Tar type of material.. .I just use new Caulking... something that stays pliable.

That is what I used....silicone caulking in a caulk gun.

On the V-39, (in addition to a sealant) you need something to secure the threaded plates (that the bottle door hinge screws into) in position. That way you can remove the bottle door and reinstall it if you ever need to. Without something to hold those plates in position, you would have to remove the liner each time to fetch the small plates.

There is a sealant for RV/s and camper seams that stays flexible. Any RV store would have it.

Go to an auto paint store and get what is called seam sealer. It's what is used for the same purpose in auto body repair.

Yea seam sealer is what I'd recommend too. 3M makes a good one Ive used on restoring cars, never had a problem with it.
