Rather what I was thinking, but know this is one of those highly collectible machines, so wasn't sure, especially for one in working original condition as this one is.  Thanks for the quick response.

       That is not a Vendo 44, it is a VMC 44 and is worth $1800 to $2000.
If it were the Vendo 44 in the same condition it would be about $2500.

How 'bout that?  I see the VMC logo below the door now.  I didn't notice it before.  What is the difference between the two machines??  Is there a difference?  I always get confused between Vendo and Vendorlator...are they the same company or what?  Why the different names?  Guess I just need to do some more research!  censored

Ok, just answered some of my questions, although leaves a lot to wonder.  Vendo merged with then rival company, Vendorlator, in 1956 (according to Wikipedia).  Guessing they never split apart after the merger.

Vendo looks much better in my opinion...I don't like the 44 as much without it.
