Its a napkin dispenser... If you do a search on this site you'll find plenty. Lots of members have or have had these.
That one looks a little on the ruff side and is a differnt type to the one I had. Mine dispensed a card this looks like
a yes no answer type.

I hadn't seen one before and thought it was pretty cool.  From the sounds of it though, it's a pretty common thing.  Yes, it is a "yes or no" type machine, no card dispensed.  I appreciate the info!

They would have been on tables during the 40's and 50's. It was a way for the resturant to re-coup the cost of the
hankies.

Here is mine.  I have both kinds.  I like them equally.

Ken,

They are easy to restore.  I have even redone the fortune wheel that looks like the top of an old coffee percolator.  Let me know if I can help you.

Hey Brian,
This one is not mine, it's one of the items up for auction next weekend (www.bigeagleauctions.com under schedule).  I was just curious if it was something "rare" or fairly common.  Seems they are fairly common or not so hard to find anyway.  I keep hoping we have that elusive "gem" item, but does not seem that is the case after all.  Feel free to explore the auction and if I've listed something incorrectly, please let me know.  Thanks.

The one we had sold at the auction last night for $95.  I'd say that we did pretty good.
