I finally finished the resto of my Ideal 85 Pepsi.  Not a 100% restoration, but I got it where I wanted it for the basement to hold beer and soda.  I gutted it and replaced both door gaskets, insulation, wiring harness, all screws, cap catcher bumpers, and opener.  I had it media blasted and I sprayed it with a blue that was as close to the original as I could find over the counter without color matching.  A little darker than original, but I actually like it a little better.  I just have to add the "Drink Ice Cold" decals.  Anyone know what the font is for the lettering?
Anyway, here are the before and after pictures.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks guys.  For my first one, I think it turned out pretty well.  Not perfect (esp. the red paint on the embossing), but good enough to be presentable.

Kilroy, thanks for the info on the decals.  Can't believe I overlooked those on the site. I tried getting everything at once to avoid multiple shipping charges, but I guess I missed that one thing.

I have to say that this site was a huge benefit for me during this resto.  All the tips and advice....especially the cardboard tip for the liner install.  I don't think I would have thought of that, and I would have been swearing up a storm dropping that thing in without it.
